Getting settled in Bergen

Hei

So many things happened since my last entry. I just start at random. In the last week we had about 2 Fire alarms in our house. But nothing to worry about that, they told me that's not so much. It is forbidden to smoke in our whole house, but with so many students that's quite difficult. But as I said that was not such a big deal.
At Saturday I met my Bergen Buddy. You probably won't know what that is. In Bergen there is a bit a problem that the exchange students are located outside of Bergen. It is called Fantoft. It takes you about 15 minutes from the center by bus. So what happened is that the exchange students were like in a ghetto with no contact to the native Norwegians. The student organization decided to set up a web page in which you can register and you get a buddy. I did it and I'm very glad that I did. My buddy is a member of a choir and probably I will get the membership as well. But back to Saturday. My buddy, whose name is Jens, and I had a beer and afterwards he had to leave for a meeting. But I had an other appointment with my swiss friend. He joined also the buddy program and he got an invitation to a pre-party. He asked me if I would like to join him and of course I said yes. So I went to this party and it was really cool, because there were only Norwegians (and of course as well girls). We spent there about 3 hours til midnight. After that we headed out into the nightlife of bergen. We ended up in Place which is called cafe opera. It was really good fun.

Finally I went to bed at about 5.30.

At Sunday I slept in and I cleaned my room. I did the washing, which wasn't a good idea at Sunday --> Everybody wanted to do the washing.

Yeah and yesterday I had my hard day with 6 ;) hours of courses.

Today in the morning I looked out the window and it was white. Snow everywhere. What a cool beginning of the day. After that I went to the post-office to pick up my ski equipment. I really looking forward to my first ski tour here in Norway. Probably it will be this weekend. A couple of danish friends asked me to go for a run. So we went out for an hour.

That's it for the moment.
